The German Institute for Economic Research (DIW Berlin) is one of the leading economic research institutes in Germany. We are an independent, non-profit institute involved in economic research, service and policy advice. We co-operate closely with universities in Berlin and Brandenburg and in international academic networks. The Department of International Economics at DIW Berlin is hiring a Postgraduate Research Fellow in Development Economics to participate in research activities of the Training and Mobility Network for the Economic Analysis of Conflict (TAMNEAC).

The project analyses the drivers, forms and social consequences of mass violent conflict from an economic perspective, as well as the risk management strategies of individuals and households to cope with conflict. DIW Berlin contributes to the network with the analysis of the economic behavior and labor market changes in relation to conflict legacies.
