The BURGER KING® Scholars Program has awarded more than $15.4 million to high school seniors and employees across the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico since the program’s inception in 2000. This year alone we awarded more than $1.4 million in scholarships to 1,258 students, and introduced and awarded four new major scholarships, including one King $25,000 award and three James W. McLamore WHOPPER Scholarship $50,000 awards.

The James W. McLamore WHOPPER Scholarship awards were made possible thanks to the generosity of the McLamore Family Foundation.

2012 U.S. Bank Scholarship Program for US Citizens

U.S. Bank offers your opportunity to apply for one of 40 $1,000 scholarships.

Eligibility

In order to be eligible for the U.S. Bank Scholarship Program, a student must be:

-A high school senior planning to enroll or a current college freshmen, sophomore or junior at an eligible four-year college or university participating in the U.S. Bank Student Loan Program.
-Enrolled by September 2012.
-A United States citizen or permanent resident alien

The Alice L. Haltom Educational Fund Scholarships for US Citizens

The Alice L. Haltom Educational Fund exists for the purpose of furthering education in the field of information and records management. It is supported by contributions from various chapters of the Association of Records Managers and Administrators International (ARMA), companies, individuals, and other organizations. The Houston ARMA Chapter created the Fund in 1985 to honor Alice L. Haltom CRM at retirement for her untiring efforts to improve the profession of information and records management during her career that spanned more than three decades.

Eligibility

Students who are citizens of the U.S., Canada or Mexico and actively pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate degrees related to careers in information and records management.

KFC Scholarship 2012 – KFC Colonel Scholarships for USA Citizens

KFC Colonel’s Scholars® is looking for high school seniors with entrepreneurial drive, strong perseverance, demonstrated financial need and who want to pursue a college education at an accredited public institution in the state they reside. The KFC Colonel’s Scholars Program is about you, your dreams and aspirations, and the perseverance to succeed. This program is offered to high school seniors planning to attend a public in-state college or university. Students who meet the criteria may apply online to become a KFC Colonel’s Scholar. Students selected for this scholarship are eligible to receive up to $20,000 to complete a bachelor’s degree program.

The Award

The Scholarship offered by the KFC Colonel's Scholars Program provides funding for:

  • Tuition
  • Fees
  • Books
  • Room and Board

Awards can be up to $5,000 per year. The scholar could receive up to $20,000 over four years to help complete a bachelor's degree.

Eligibility

To be eligible to compete for the KFC Colonel's Scholars Scholarship, an individual must:

  • Graduate from high school this academic year (between 12/1/11 and 8/31/12)
  • Earn a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 2.75
  • Plan to pursue a bachelor's degree at a public, in-state college or university (start date no later than 9/30/12)
  • Be a US citizen or permanent resident
  • Demonstrate financial need Scholars may begin their college career by entering into either a 2-or 4-year accredited in-state college/university, as long as they stay on track to complete a bachelor's degree program.

Sweden:Swedish Institute Study Scholarships 2012 for Developing Country Students

The Swedish Institute provides scholarships in Sweden to highly-qualified international students from developing countries who wants to study at Sweden Universities.Scholarships are intended for studies in Sweden starting in the fall semester 2012 (August) and focus mainly on master’s level. A few scholarships will be awarded for studies at bachelor’s level

Eligibility:

The scholarships are intended for students from the above-mentioned target group for full time studies in Sweden. There is no age limit for scholarship holders.

Scholarships cannot be granted for students who:

• Have already lived in Sweden for two years or more previous to the scholarship period.
• Have a Swedish permanent residence or work permit.
• Have previously been awarded a Swedish Institute scholarship for studies at Master’s level or for research at a Swedish university.
• Already hold a Master’s degree from a Swedish university/university college.
• Are currently enrolled in a study program on Bachelor’s or Master’s level at a Swedish university or university college.

Application instructions:

Please note that in order to apply for a Swedish Institute Study scholarship the student must first be admitted to a Swedish university/university college. The application period for study programs opens 1 December 2011 until 16 January 2012 (for most programs).

As soon as the results of Swedish university admission have been announced, the online service for the Swedish Institute Study Scholarships will open. Please note that only admitted students can apply for a scholarship. The application period for Swedish Institute Study scholarship will be 14-25 March 2012.

UK:Eira Francis Davies Scholarship 2012 at Swansea University

Female students ordinarily resident in a developing country who are admitted to pursue an undergraduate or a Taught Master’s postgraduate course at Swansea University shall be eligible to apply for the Eira Francis Davies Scholarship. The Eira Francis Davies Scholarship, which shall be awarded from time to time by the Senate on the basis of academic merit and/or financial need and which shall contribute to tuition fees, shall be tenable for such period as determined by the Senate and shall be subject to satisfactory academic progress and to such other terms and conditions as the University shall stipulate. It is a condition of the award of the Eira Francis Davies Scholarship that the student agrees to return to her country for work or study upon completion of degree studies at Swansea University.

Eligibility:

- Candidates must be new, full-time, degree seeking, non-EU applicants
-Candidates must have completed an application to study and accepted the offer of a place at Swansea University
-Candidates must show strong academic ability and financial need
-Candidates should not be eligible for other financial support from Swansea University

Swiss Government scholarships 2012-2013 for university, fine arts and music schools for foreign students

The Swiss Government awards a range of scholarships to foreign students through the Federal Commission for Scholarships for Foreign Students (FCS): university scholarships (Swiss universities and Federal Institutes of Technology), arts scholarships (schools of music and fine arts) and scholarships for universities of applied sciences (UAS). These scholarships provide graduates from all fields with the opportunity to pursue postgraduate studies or research in Switzerland at a public funded university or recognized institution.
